Nominate Volunteers for Awards
Date Uploaded:
Thursday 8th May 2014

Do you know any United Synagogue volunteers who do fantastic work that we should recognise? Now is your chance to put them forward.

The Wohl Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) are holding their awards event on 8th September 2014 and we want to make sure that our volunteers are included in the list of nominations. We know that many of you dedicate a lot of time volunteering for the US – but you do it quietly, without fuss or fanfare.

Either you can nominate the person directly yourself or you can send your nominations to us and we will make a shortlist of the nominations that we receive. Each person or organisation can only nominate a maximum of 3 people or teams for each category. You cannot nominate yourself!

There are 9 different awards:-

Volunteer of the Year Award

Volunteer Team of the Year Award

Children’s Aid Committee Young Volunteer (11-17) Award

The 18-25 Award

The Innovate CV Award for innovation in volunteering

The Judy Citron Lifetime Achievement Award

Friend of the Community Award

The HW Fisher Overseas and International Volunteer Award

The Jewish News People’s Choice Award

To download more information about the awards and the nomination form, please go to www.jvn.org.uk

The closing date for nominations if you send them directly to the JVN is 5.00 p.m. on 6th June 2014.

If you would like the person/team to be included in the US list of nominees, please send the form and supporting statement to chesed@theus.org.uk by 9.00 a.m. on Tuesday 27th May at the latest to give us time to go through the nominations and to make sure we have all the necessary information.
