The United Synagogue to provide ‘Seder in a Box’

With Pesach approaching, the United Synagogue Chesed team have created a ‘Seder in a Box’.  Given the current situation, this initiative has been put in place to allow members to enjoy a Seder with ease.

The box will contain everything needed for a Seder, including a Seder plate, along with a main meal and disposable cutlery and crockery.  Some educational material, but not a Haggadah, will also be included.

The boxes will be available to order, with the US Chesed team providing subsidies from the Chesed appeal funds for those who would be in need of such assistance. Members of each community will be asked to help with local deliveries in their area if they are able to, especially for those in self-isolation.

Michelle Minsky, head of US Chesed, said, “Given the sad necessity to cancel communal Sedarim and hosting, this is one of the closest things we can do to communal Seder.”
