There is currently an unusually high level of infestation in vegetables.
KLBD has found the following to be of particular concern:
Broccoli, Tenderstem Broccoli, Iceberg Lettuce, Kale, Little Gem or Baby Lettuce, Mint, Mixed Baby Leaf and Romaine Lettuce.
Where possible, it is advisable to buy pre-checked vegetables with a reliable hechsher.
If checking your own vegetables, they should be pre-washed thoroughly with food safe detergent prior to checking. For more information click here.
Any vegetables which appear infested should be discarded without further checking.
